Our presentation at the HPDTRP community workshop:

People all around the world constantly come up with new ideas to solve various problems. But how people's ingenuity is defined and expressed is influenced by specific cultures they're in. We are currently comparing differences in people's motivation for idea generation, emotional patterns, as well as their perceptions of products in the US and in East Asia. Prof. Hazel Markus and Prof. Jeanne Tsai at the Stanford Psychology Department are the Principal Investigators for the project. My collaborators Xiao Ge and Cinoo Lee are currently PhD candidates at Stanford University. Dr. Daigo Misaki and Dr. Nanami Furue are our collaborators based in Japan. Our research project is generously funded by Hasso Plattner Design Thinking Research Program (HPDTRP) from 2020-2022.
